Bridging the Years

Bridging the Years was a project to encourage pupils at Ysgol Sant Dunawd, Bangor on Dee, to develop their awareness, understanding and appreciation of the local environment through oral history. The project not only helped to interpret, preserve and celebrate local heritage but also helped to develop links between the youth and older people from the Bangor on Dee area.

The pupils interviewed local residents capturing their memories of the Bangor on Dee area of the 1960s and 1970s - exploring what the village was like and discovering what changes have taken place.

The interviews were recorded in English, the first language of participants.
