This is a cross border project with Chester City Council and Northern Marches England, to encourage individuals or small groups to travel by bus to rural Wrexham, Cheshire and Shropshire and explore the scenery and hidden treasures in the countryside.
The bus tours, with live commentary, will enable the surrounding rural areas to take advantage of the significant numbers of visitors to Chester and extend the economic benefits of tourism to small rural destinations.
A wide range of forthcoming tours is planned which would include:
- Land of the Dragon River of no Return
- Secret Gardens Wonders of Wales
- Spire and Sword
- River of No Return
- Wonders of Wales
In addition, there will be trips to events and festivals taking place in the area, such as the Erddig Apple Festival (1 & 2 October 2005) and the bi-centenary celebrations of the opening of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (26 November 2005).
To book tickets by telephone, call 01244 351609 (or 01244 402445 weekdays only) or book online on the website www.chestertourism.com.
