Shops & Market Stalls

There are three covered markets within Wrexham Town Centre, all situated within easy access of the Henblas Square Development.

The People's Market is located within the pedestrianised area of Chester Street and forms part of the multi-storey car park.  This modern building provides 55 Market Stalls, together with 15 retail units located to the front of Chester Street and within the South Mall entrance.

The General Market is also located within the pedestrianised area of Chester Street, with its main entrance off Henblas Street.  This Grade II Listed Building houses 16 Market Stalls and is fronted by 5 lock-up retail units.

The Butchers Market is situated within the pedestrianised areas of Henblas Street and High Street.  This too is a Grade II Listed Building which houses 36 stalls and 3 retail units fronting High Street.

The Authority also manages various retail units located in Wrexham’s many Housing Estates.  A wide and varied range of shop premises, some having associated living accommodation can be found in Caia Park, Brynteg, Coedpoeth and Little Acton, to name but a few.  The majority of these properties are let on 6 - 21 year lease terms and are retained by the Authority to provide a wide range of services to its many tenants and local residents.
