Connect Magazine - Summer 2007

Welcome to the latest edition of Connect, Wrexham County Borough Council’s quarterly magazine for people who live and work in the county borough.

We were looking forward to a long hot summer when this edition went to print, but unfortunately it hasn't arrived yet - but when it does (fingers crossed!) Connect offers advice on how to keep your food safe from bacteria when having a barbeque and what to do about summer pests such as flies and wasps.

Take pride in your street is the new initiative launching in September which will bring together a lot of our 'streetscene' services under one umbrella and will help reduce litter on our streets.

The Council has been in existence for 150 years this summer and we look back at some of the significant events during that time.

Once again we look at recycling and have included some frequently asked questions which will help you all to ensure you are recycling and composting as much as possible.

This issue also include a feature on housing with a selection of articles covering everything from affordable housing to the completion of the window replacement scheme.

We hope you enjoy reading Connect. Please let us know what you think of it by contacting our Communications Unit in any of the following ways:
