Connect - Winter 2005

Welcome to the 12th edition of Connect, Wrexham County Borough Council’s twice yearly magazine for people who live and work in the county borough.

Another year is coming to a close and in this edition we have included some festive tips on how to have safe celebrations and also how to recycle all the extra waste that is generated at this time of year. We also take a look at the 'dirty work' of our Public Protection Department and focus on some of the improvements that have been made to public transport services in Wrexham.

Children and Young People are an important priority for us and we feature some of the new schemes that are being introduced to improve the health, well-being and education of our youngsters. We address the importance of feeling safe in your own home - please read the article on Bogus Callers and cut-out the list of phone numbers to keep.

There are articles of interest to everyone and a special pull-out feature on how to keep fit for free if you are over 60!
