Photography Competition

9 May – 17 June

The aim of the competition is to celebrate the cultural life and landscape of Wrexham County Borough throughout the year through a series of photographic images.

Entries were invited from amateur as well as professional photographers using the seasons as inspiration. The competition is split into four sections Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, with a prize of £100 offered to the best photograph in each category. The image voted best in competition ‘Rhew ar y Berwyn’ by Geraint Wyn Jones has won the photographer a trip for two to our twin town of Markischer Kreis in Germany.

The work will be exhibited in Oriel Majenta at Oriel Wrecsam 9 May – 17 June during Wrexham Arts Festival 2006.
