As part of Wrexham's Science Festival, Oriel Wrecsam (situated in the same building as Wrexham Library) is hosting a painting exhibition based on the science of cell growth.
Artist and University College Northampton lecturer Michael Evans has teamed up with microbiologist Dr PJ Hill of Nottingham University to produce new paintings and digital images that reflect the mystery and scale of organism growth.

The processes used to create the final pieces involves many stages, using varying forms of technology, including initial stages of organism investigation and image deconvolution – similar to that normally used to sift and clarify information in microbiological images. Digital images and paintings produced using these as source material will make up the display.
The exhibition will be opened on Saturday 12 March with the official preview opening on Tuesday 15 March 7-9pm.
