Genesis Cymru Wales 2

Genesis Cymru Wales 2 is a project to help unemployed parents overcome many of the barriers they face when wanting to learn new skills or return to work.

The project will provide:

  • Free help, support, advice and guidance
  • Free or subsided childcare
  • Free daytime ‘taster’ courses for anyone interested in working with children. A free crèche is available on site.

Eligibility Criteria

Individuals must be:

  • 16 years or older
  • Living in Wrexham
  • A parent or carer (of a dependant child/children)
  • Economically Inactive (not working and not actively looking for work)
  • Facing barriers that are preventing them from accessing education, training or employment. These barriers may include: a lack of information and advice, confidence and self-esteem issues, a lack of basic skills, no up to date qualifications, childcare issues, a lack of money management
