Large Print Books

Do you enjoy reading but because of failing eyesight find it difficult to read ordinary print?

Why not try reading Large Print Books?

We have a selection of large print books in English and Welsh for you to borrow at all our libraries. New titles are added to stock regularly.

Please ask staff for help if you want a particular title and you can't find it on the shelves. If it is available in large print format, we will do our best to get it for you.

Talking Books

If you have failing eyesight and find it difficult to read a book why not listen to a book instead.

Talking books on standard cassette tapes are available for loan. We now have a growing collection on CD too.

New titles are added to stock regularly.

Our collection of talking books is kept at Wrexham Library but you can request a title from any of our libraries free of charge.

Ask at your local library for further details about talking books and large print books.

Mobile Library

Library services are accessible via mobile libraries. They operate on a three-weekly basis and carry a selection of items for adults and children, including fiction and non-fiction books, large print books, and talking books.

If you use the mobile library, you can also request items from the static libraries - including videos, cassettes and CDs for a small charge.

We can also arrange for mobile libraries to visit sheltered accommodation and warden-controlled flats free of charge.

For more information about the mobile library service, e.g. routes and schedules, please contact your local library.
