Information and Communication Technology

The Internet

The World Wide Web is a vast, global electronic library that provides information on all different subjects. This information can be accessed from any computer that is connected to the Internet.

We offer FREE public access to the World Wide Web at all libraries in the area.

You can book a session on the Internet (up to 2 hours) by contacting any library. You just need to bring your library membership card and sign the Terms of Condition form - it will only take a few seconds.

Printing material from the World Wide Web

Printing costs 15p per sheet and is subject to any copyright conditions that may apply.

Word Processing

If you wish to save and take away the work you have done in the library, you can buy disks from us. Disks cost £0.50. You may not save your work directly onto the computer's hard drive as other users will have access to it. Always use a disk or a memory stick - any files stored on the hard drive are deleted!
