Memorial Hall

The Memorial Hall is an adaptable town-centre facility, which hosts a wide range of events and is available for hire.

The Hall offers a range of facilities which can accommodate events as varied as exhibitions, conferences, seminars, concerts, dinner dances, discos and a variety of classes and meetings.

The Hall has a stage, PA system, stage lighting and a bar. Hirers can do their own catering, bring in outside caterers or simply order a buffet, light refreshments or teas and coffees.

Regular events at the Hall include:

Afternoon Tea Dances with live organist every Monday afternoon, 2.00pm - 4.00pm excluding Bank Holidays. The admission price of £2.00 includes a cup of tea.
Scottish Country Dancing with the Caledonian Society every Monday evening in the winter, excluding Bank Holidays.
American Line Dancing (link to external website) every Tuesday evening, 7.30pm - 10.00pm. Admission £3.00.
DANCEJIVE (link to external website) Modern Jive Classes, every Wednesday, 7.45pm - 10.30pm. No partner required. Over 18's. Great Social Night. Beginners welcome. £5 admission, Bar available.
Karate Classes every Thursday 6.00pm - 7.00pm.

The Hall has its own small car park, which hirers can use free of charge and is adjacent to Waterworld pay and display car park. It is on one level, has a ramp for wheelchairs; automatic doors and a unisex disabled toilet.
