Christmas Lights Switch-On, Queens Square

Thursday 17 November, from 4.00pm.

With Andy Scott Lee, Dale Howard and Alison Crawford.

  • 4.00pm - Music from Calon FM
  • 5.45pm - Come over to see madcap duo Ant and Al, from S4C's Stwnsh for plenty of hilarious competitions and bonkers fun!
  • 6.15pm to 6.45pm - Come and join in the fun as Wrexham’s town centre Christmas lights are switched on by Andy Scott Lee, Dale Howard, Alison Crawford and other members of the cast from the Stiwt’s Cinderella pantomime. Do we think there will be lots of singing, dancing and funny goings on? Oh YES we do!!!

Wrexham Welcomes Father Christmas to Town - with the Frosty Lantern Parade

Thursday 1 December, 6.00pm start from Eagles Meadow.

Parade Route: Eagles Meadow (6pm), Smithfield Road, Charles Street, High Street,
Hope Street, Regent Street, Duke Street, Lord Street, Queens Square (6.20pm approx).

Come and join the Frosty Lantern Parade and help to welcome Father Christmas to Wrexham. He will arrive in style on a sleigh pulled by Snow Dogs and the lanterns will follow behind. When he gets to Queens Square there will be entertainment and fairground rides and the Grotto will open for its first visitors of the year. The queues will be enormous, but if you can be patient, he’ll be there every day until Christmas Eve!

Lantern Making Classes

There will be lantern making sessions at Oriel Wrecsam during November.

Wrexham Christmas Market, Church Street and St Giles Church

Thursday 8 December, 12.00 noon – 8.00pm.

Wrexham’s annual Christmas market, set in the most picturesque part of the town centre, will see over 70 stalls in Church Street and St Giles’ churchyard, overflowing with goods such as hand made wooden toys, candles, jewellery, books by local authors, cards, crafts, all sorts of gifts, Christmas decorations, freshly cut trees, pottery and lots of local produce, including cakes, pies, chocolates, hot-from-the-griddle Welshcakes, beer, cider, preserves and sauces.

Breakfast with Father Christmas

Saturday 3 and 17 December, Wrexham County Borough Museum and Archives 8.45am.

Come and have breakfast with Father Christmas.

£7 per child (includes breakfast and a gift). £2.95 adults (includes drink and a pastry).

Tea and a Story with Father Christmas
