Christmas Lights Switch On, Queens Square

Thursday 19 November, from 5.45pm.

Join us at 5.45pm for the official switch-on. Pantomime group Musical Memories will take to the stage first. Then at 6pm, Fireman Sam and Naughty Norman will star in “Extra Extra Read All About It”! At 6.30pm Fireman Sam will switch on the lights, followed by a spectacular firework finale at 6.40pm.

Father Christmas Arrives in Wrexham, Queens Square

Thursday 3 December, 6pm start.

See Father Christmas arrive by sleigh at 6pm on Thursday, December 3, with his reindeer and snow dogs in tow.

Route: Town Hill, Hope Street, Regent Street,Duke Street, Lord Street, Queens Square.

The grotto will stay open until 7.30pm.

Christmas Grotto, Queens Square

3 – 24 December. 

The grotto will stay open until 7.30pm on 3 December, and will then be open until December 24 at the following times:

  • Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri - 11am-5pm
  • Thurs - 11am-7.30pm
  • Sat - 10am-5pm
  • Sun - 11am-4pm
  • Christmas Eve - 11am-3pm

Victorian Christmas Market, Church Street and St Giles Church

Thursday 10 December, 3pm – 8pm.

Experience this lovely event from 3pm to 8pm, with Victorian entertainment and 60 stalls selling gifts, toys, food, jewellery, handicrafts, hot chestnuts, decorations, freshly-cut Christmas trees and lots more.

Camels and Carols, Queens Square and St Giles Church

Thursday 17 December, Queens Square and St Giles Church.

Enjoy the festive spirit with Christmas music, three real camels and the three kings in Queens Square from 5.30pm, followed by a parade at 6pm to St Giles Church for a carol service.
