November 21st sees the Wrexham Christmas light switch on in Queen's Square.
The festivities will begin at 5:15pm, with entertainment taking place on the stage throughout the evening – building up to the big lights switch on at 7pm! Looking skywards, as the town centre lights up will also reveal a fantastic firework display in the skies above Wrexham.
This year the cast of Glyndwr’s University’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’ pantomime will be in attendance to switch the Christmas lights on and entertain the crowds. Stars include David Heath (X Factor Eton Road), John Cooper (SKY TV), Carly Nickson.
Musician KAMEELION will also be in attendance to get the crowd going. Plus a set from local Indie heroes THE MAYDAYS.
On the night there will be a hog roast, refreshments, fair ground rides and Wrexham lager will be in attendance supplying their world famous drink.
This year the event is being organised in coordination with Rampant Dragon, The Foundry, Wrexham.com and Lateral Arc.
There will be goody bags and glow sticks to give out to help light up the crowd – so get there early to make sure you don’t miss out.
Thursday 21st also marks the start of late night shopping in the town, so it’s an ideal evening to head out hunting for some Christmas gifts.
This is a FREE EVENT open to all members of the public!
