Home Repair Assistance (HRA) Grants

In partnership with Wrexham Care & Repair the Local Authority operate limited financial assistance for works connected with Health & Safety and security to owner / occupied dwellings.

Policy

The HRA is limited to a maximum limit £5,000 + Fees to owner / occupied dwellings for Health + Safety and Security which can be a number of small multiple applications over a  number of years with the overall total cost of all the eligible works not exceeding the maximum set limit.

Eligibility

Owner / occupiers registered disabled or over the age of sixty on one or more of the following income related benefits:

• Working Family Tax Credit
• Disabled Persons Tax Credit
• Council Tax Benefit
• Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
• Pension Credits
• Or any replacement benefits agreed by the Local Housing Authority
