Minor Adaptations Assistance
Minor Adaptation Assistance will be awarded on a discretionary basis to all tenures to pay for qualifying adaptations to their home. The following adaptations may be considered for the fast track process:
- Straight and Curved Stairlifts
- Level Access showers (unless the whole bathroom is proposed to be re-designed)
- Ramps (unless extremely complex and this then be at the discretion of the Occupational Therapist Manager)
- Handrails and Steps
- Door Widening
- Minor Electrical Works
As with other forms of discretionary assistance under these policies, the approval of Minor Adaptations Assistance is subject to the availability of resources.
Policy
A non-means tested 100% financial assistance to all tenures. A combination of minor or where additional adaptations are required within a 12 Month period will go through the DFG process
Eligibility
All applications for Minor Adaptations Assistance must be supported by an Adaptation Care Plan
produced by the Occupational Therapist for Social Services.
