Do You Have a "Local Connection" with Wrexham County Borough?

To have a local connection, you must have:

  • Lived in Wrexham for 3 years out of the last 5 years; or
  • Lived in Wrexham for 6 months out of the last 12 months; or
  • Fixed, secure employment in Wrexham; or
  • Close relative (e.g. parents, brother or sister) who has lived in the area for 5 years or more.

If you have no local connection anywhere, then the Council to whom you have applied must take responsibility.

If you have a local connection in another Council’s area (and no local connection in Wrexham), then Wrexham may refer your homelessness application to that Council.
