Rural Housing Enabler

The Rural Housing Enabler is jointly funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, Wrexham and Flintshire Councils, Wales & West, Clwyd Alyn and Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd Housing Associations. Rural Housing Enablers are independent brokers who, by working together with local authorities, housing associations and local communities, develop affordable housing for rural communities.   

Providing independent advice and support, the Rural Housing Enabler acts as a facilitator to identify and bring land and empty properties into use for affordable housing. Working with Community Councils, local landowners, Planning Officers, Housing Associations and other relevant individuals and organisations, the Rural Housing Enabler will help to find practical solutions to meet the housing needs of rural communities throughout Wrexham and Flintshire.
