Management of the Travellers Site

The Local Authority has a statutory obligation to the County Council in respect of the Management of Travellers Sites.

The Housing Department acts as the agent for the Local Authority. The Local Authority discharges the County Councils statutory obligations relative to the Management of Travellers Sites via its agent in these matters.

The Housing Department's responsibility only extends to the site plot and the maintenance of utilities to the site plot. The Housing Department has no responsibility beyond this point.

The site is situated on Ruthin Road and we provide a Warden and Liaison Officer to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the site.
