Improvement Journey

The "Improvement Journey" is a report prepared by the Wales Audit Office (formerly known as the Audit Commission in Wales) produced within the context of the Wales Programme for Improvement.

It covers the Council's corporate and service Improvement Journey (IJ) up to December 2004 and sets out the Regulators' views on the risks faced and improvements made by the Council.

The content of the IJ reflects the results of audits and inspections undertaken by the WAO and the other inspectorates - Estyn, Social Services Inspectorate in Wales and Benefit Fraud Inspectorate - and represents a collective view of how the Council has progressed in terms of its corporate and service arrangements and performance
