Broadband in Wrexham

Broadband in Wrexham

Broadband is fastest way to access the Internet at speeds up to 20 times faster than existing 56k dial-up modems. With Broadband you have an Internet connection over your existing telephone line which is always on and which doesn't prevent use of the line for normal calls or faxes.

For the home user, broadband brings new possibilities for education, entertainment and home working. For the business user, the speed of connection will enhance links to customers and suppliers, improving communications and creating new opportunities for growth through e-commerce.

To be able to receive a Broadband connection your local telephone exchange must be enabled by British Telecom (BT).

There are a total of 20 telephone exchanges servicing Wrexham County Borough and 19 of those already have Broadband. One rural exchange, Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog, is presently without a date set for Broadband availability.

The broadband coverage map shows a guide to the current broadband coverage available within Wrexham County Borough.
