Take-up Campaign - Online Services

The National Take-up campaign, has developed a shortlist of online services to be promoted nationally and regionally during spring and summer 2006.

On 8th May 2006, the Take-Up campaign for local authority online services was launched promoting the following online services. All of these services, and many more, are available on your local site wrexham.gov.uk:

• Finding out about school term dates
• Find out about school holiday scheme - before and after school childcare
• Reporting an abandoned vehicle
• Renewing a library book
• Information about how to pay parking fines
• Finding out about domestic bins
• Finding out about disposing of garden waste
• Reporting fly tipping & dumping
• Reporting a graffiti problem
• Reporting a pothole or problem with a pavement
• Reporting a problem with a street light
• Information on ways to pay Council Tax
• Applying for a job at the Local Council
• Reporting a noise nuisance problem
• Plus many more services available in our Online Facilities section.

The services, picked out with the help of local authority stakeholder groups, are the most popular commonly available informational and transactional services, e-enabled by the Local e-Government Programme.

With adverts appearing across national and regional press, radio, online and outdoor media, it will be hard to miss. The Campaign aims to drive-up traffic to local authority websites, both urban and rural, by making them the 'heroes' of the advertising.
