Flood Risk Survey

Wrexham has many rivers, streams and waterways some of which under extreme conditions may lead to a risk of flooding. The greatest risk to properties in the Borough however is from surface water flooding caused by the impact of severe rainfall and unpredictable weather patterns associated with climate change.

This survey is being made available on the Council's website and directly to residents and businesses in areas that have been flooded in the past or that may be vulnerable from flooding in the future with the aim of trying to identify the causes of risk to their property and to understand the impact flooding has on people, land and property. This may be physical emotional or economic harm. The results of this survey will be used to inform the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy.

We would be grateful if you would answer a few questions about your property and what information or services you feel would be helpful. Resources to manage flood risk will always be limited and although the survey results will increase our knowledge of flood risk within the Borough they may not lead to any specific works that will reduce that risk.
