Bellevue Park celebrates its 100th birthday on Sunday 25th July with a fun packed day in the park. The day will feature a range of music and dance performances, in addition to a range of attractions for all ages.
The music gets under way with the Salvation Army band at 12.15pm until 1pm. Music continues throughout the day with performances from Bradley Brass 2pm, Davi Cris 3pm and duo Geoff & John 3.45pm. Local favourites Wall St Krash close the event 4.30pm - 6pm, with a set featuring classic covers from over the past 40 years.
There will be a range of dancing with Hoola Nation, providing hoola hooping workshops and also performing displays throughout the day. There will also be belly dancing and a performance of acrobatic gymnastics from the Abbey Rd club. Other attractions on the day include vintage cars, fair rides, historical tours of the park, craft stalls and a bowls competition.
The popular Edwardian period park was extensively re-furbished to it's original condition in a project partly funded by the Heritage Lottery, Urban parks Project, Welsh Development Agency and European Regional Development Fund and opened in June 2000.
The park hosts a number of events throughout the year, including the popular Music in the Parks concerts, The concerts are organised by Wrexham County Borough Council, Parks and Countryside Service in partnership with the Friends of Bellevue Park, are now into their eighth year and feature music ranging from rock and pop to jazz.

“Bellevue Park has been the hub of the community for so long, offering a variety of activities for all ages. Bellevue has amply justified the vision of its founders in the contribution the Park has made to the quality of life of our residents. I believe this is the perfect way to celebrate its 100th birthday and hope that the park will continue to serve the community for many years to come.”
