Take a Shot and Be a Winner?

Amateur photographers are encouraged to send their favourite shots taken around the county borough to the Wonders of Wrexham 2018 Calendar Competition.

Organisers are now accepting entries for May which should be sent to calendar@wrexham.gov.uk

Entries can be of anywhere in the county borough taken during the month of May and entrants can submit up to five photographs.

The aim of the competition is to produce a Calendar in November 2018 that showcases those "little gems" of Wrexham that make the county borough as unique and attractive as it really is to visitors and residents alike.

It was launched at the beginning of November 2017 following the news that North Wales is ranked fourth in the world of regions to visit. Staff at the time thought it only right that Wrexham celebrated its place in the world with a snapshot record jof Wrexham throughout the year.

The 12 winning photographs will be featured in the Wonders of Wrexham Calendar 2018.

Six winning entries have already been chosen and judges continue to be impressed with the standard of entries as the competition goes on.

There's no prize for the winners except all 12 will receive a copy of the Calendar when it is produced with their photograph and name featured.

All profits from the sale of the calendar will be donated to the Mayor's chosen charities.
