Public advised of proper disposal of trees

With the approach of Twelfth Night, residents will be busy taking down their Christmas decorations.

Members of the public are advised to use council services to properly dispose of their real (non-artificial) Christmas trees.

Trees can be cut up and placed in green recycling bins, or taken to Waste and Recycling Centres.

Cllr David A. Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “We hope everyone takes advantage of our facilities and recycling services and disposes of their Christmas trees responsibly.”
