Trading Standards drop-in surgery launched

A new consumer advice service has been launched at Contact Wrexham. Staff from Trading Standards will be on hand every Monday and Friday (9.30-12.30pm and 2 - 4pm) at Lord Street, to offer advice to members of the public on a variety of consumer issues.

Consumers can drop in to get advice on issues ranging from the sales of goods, services and problems experienced with obtaining redress.

Members of the public can also report suspected scams, doorstep sales and issues with internet sales.

The sessions are open to both members of the public as well as businesses.

Cllr David Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport said:

“These sessions are a great opportunity for people to get the right information on consumer issues. Trading Standards cover a vast amount of consumer related legislation and this service will allow people to get the right information in a quick and easy to understand manner.”
