Egg-citing town centre event for families this Easter

Families are invited to a fun Easter-themed event in Wrexham Town Centre this week.

The Big Easter Egg Hunt will take place from 11am until 2pm on Thursday, April 13, with those partaking invited to pick up their clue sheet from Queen’s Square before the hunt begins.

Clues will direct hunters to 12 different Wrexham businesses, where they will gather chocolate eggs from baskets in the window of each shop or premise.

The egg hunters will also be tasked with finding a series of 12 individual letters needed to make up an Easter-based word – with the promise of even more chocolate if they’re able to put the correct word together.

Craft events will take place throughout the hunt at a marquee on Queen’s Square, with the Easter Bunny himself in attendance.

Claire Luckock, Events Co-ordinator at Wrexham County Borough Council, said: “This promises to be a really fun event and we would encourage children to come along and have a go – there’s plenty of chocolate up for grabs!

“This will also be a very fun event for all children looking to keep busy during the Easter holidays.”

The event is free. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
