Dog fouling action continues with 10 fines handed out in February

Ten irresponsible pet owners were fined for failing to clean up after their animals this month.

Wrexham Council reminds all dog owners that enforcement action continues alongside Kingdom Security, after members of the public got in touch to alert enforcement teams of dog fouling hotspots in their respective communities.

Cllr David A. Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and transport, said: “I’m very pleased to see members of the public have come back to use and notified enforcement teams of those areas where dog fouling has taken place.

“Anyone who wishes to report an area where they feel irresponsible owners are repeatedly failing to pick up after their pets can get in touch with Pride In Your Streets on 01978 298989.

“When reporting such incidents, members of the public should provide the street name/location of the offence, and any idea they may have of the best time to attend the area, so as to find any dog owners failing to clean up after their animals.”
