Local Government Revenue and Capital Settlement 2012-13

Wrexham County Borough Council received details of its settlement from the Welsh Government on Wednesday 7 December. An amount of £184m will be provided for Wrexham, a 1.2% increase on last year.

Councillor Alun Jenkins, Lead Member for Finance and Asset Management said:
“There has been little change between the Provisional Settlement and the final announcement in respect of Wrexham County Borough Council.

“The Council had been planning for this tough settlement for some time and is confident that it can deliver the necessary savings to balance the budget for next year without impacting on front line services. Schools and social care will benefit from increased budget allocations in line with Welsh Government expectations.”
