Are you a Private Sector Landlord or Tenant?

Wrexham Council’s Housing Standards Team is working with landlords’ and tenants’ to improve the quality of accommodation available in the private rented sector.

Following the introduction of the Council’s Private Rented Sector Improvement Strategy 2009-12 work is being carried out to implement the annual action plan. Recent achievements include the inspection of over 200 private rented properties and also the publishing of Property Standard Guidelines and a Landlord and Tenant Charter.

The guidelines provide landlords’ and tenants’ with concise information and good practice advice on minimum standards the Council would like to see in all private rented property whilst the Charter provides a short summary of the responsibilities that apply to Landlords’ and Tenants’ respectively.
