A special event is being held to promote services that can help people with mobility needs access Wrexham town centre.A special event is being held to promote services that can help people with mobility needs access Wrexham town centre.
The event is being held on Queens Square on Thursday, July 22 between 10am and 3pm.
Wrexham Council’s Shopmobility staff will be joining forces with volunteers from Chariotts Community Transport to demonstrate some of the facilities on offer.
Shopmobility scooters – which can be loaned from the council's town centre bases at the bus station and Eagles Meadow - will be able available to try.
Chariotts will also be demonstrating one of their vehicles and explaining the benefits of the transport service they provide.
Councillor Rodney Skelland, Wrexham Council’s lead member for regeneration and corporate governance, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for the public to learn about and try out some of the excellent facilities available which can help people access all that the town has to offer."
