Plas Pentwyn 12 month operational anniversary

Plas Pentwyn, Coedpoeth’s Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Centre has now been open for a year and continues to develop programmes for the local community.

Centre Manager Nicola Millar says “we are exceptionally pleased with the performance of Plas Pentwyn over the last twelve months and this was reflected in the small surplus that was made for 2008/09 when in fact a loss was predicted.”

All of the profits made by the centre go back into providing services for the community and the latest course running is a Job Club in association with Careers Wales and West Wrexham Partnership.

The Job Club is aimed at helping those who are unemployed, facing redundancy, returners to work or even those who just wish to consider a change in career. CV writing and interview skills are just two of the subjects that the free three week course will offer from 10th June.

Plas Pentwyn will also be holding its summer fayre on Saturday 18th July between 10am and 2pm. A balloon race, table sale, fairground rides and face painting are just some of the activities on offer.

For further details about the mentioned activities or other facilities on offer at Plas Pentwyn, please contact Nicola Millar on 01978 722980 or log on to the website www.plas-pentwyn.co.uk
