Walk on Wales is a charitable walk that will cover the enter 870 mile long Welsh Coast Path, with 11 teams consisting of both veterans and serving members of the Welsh Guards, walking in relay from 25 August until 2 November.  The sponsored walk aims to raise £1 million in support of Welsh Guardsmen and their families who have been impacted by active service.

Walk on Wales will be launched in Cardiff on the 25th of August when Team 1 walk from Llandaff Cathedral to Chepstow, carrying the ceremonial silver baton, inscribed with the names of the 50 Welsh Guardsmen who have died in combat since World War ll.  From Chepstow, a cycling team will carry the precious baton to Chester Racecourse, from where Team 2 will begin the long coastal walk on 29th August.
