Those Feet Were Made For Walking - Urban Walks

Why not take advantage of the nice weather to take a brisk walk at lunchtime? Wrexham County Borough Council and Walkabout Wrexham managed by Groundwork Wrexham & Flintshire have launched Urbanwalks - a scheme to help people achieve the recommended 30 minutes of physical activity at least 5 days per week.

Urbanwalks is a leaflet that contains six walk routes around the town centre that can be completed independently in less than 30 minutes. This enables the walks to be completed at lunchtime.

The first leaflet is aimed at people who work in the town centre but can also be used by visitors to the town. A brisk walk at lunchtime makes you feel good, increases your fitness level, may help you to lose weight, and can reduce stress.

You can download the Urban Walks leaflet at the bottom of this page. Leaflets are also available from town centre council offices, Wrexham Waterworld, the library and arts centre, tourist information, St Giles Church and the museum.

The next leaflet to be produced will cover Wrexham Industrial Estate.
