Applying for a Blue Badge Online
Step 1
Please read all of the guidance
notes provided to determine if you are eligible for a Blue Badge.
Step 2
If you believe you are eligible for a Blue badge and have
the relevant documents to support your application please complete the
online application form - making sure you fill in all of the relevant
details where asked to do so. Any missing or incorrect information has
to be checked or changed and can delay the application process.
Step 3
Your completed online application will be received and
processed by Wrexham County Borough Council' Social Care department.
You will receive an acknowledgment by email that the Social Care department have received your application.
Your application will be checked and verified by Wrexham
County Borough Council's Social Care department.
The Social Care department may contact you for further information
about your application.
You may receive a letter which you will be asked to supply
to your GP - the GP will be asked to supply information about you in respect
of your claim.
Step 4
If your application is successful the Social Care department
will contact you and ask you to supply two recent passport type photographs
signed by the applicant on the reverse side. PLEASE DO NOT SEND THE PHOTOGRAPHS
UNTIL REQUESTED. You will also be asked to supply a copy of your signature
which will be used for the Blue Badge.
We will ask you to visit a Social Care
Office to collect your Blue Badge, and supply the two photographs,
plus any additional documentation as part of the application process.
If your application is unsuccessful Social Services
will contact you by letter and explain the reasons why your application
has not been approved.
