Shared Lives Self-Employment Opportunities in Care / Support
Wrexham County Borough Council’s Shared Lives Service is looking for people to work on a self-employed basis with older people suffering from age related conditions, and mental health illnesses such as Dementia.
Shared Lives carers do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience in the care role, but they do need to be:
- Caring; Considerate; Committed; Trustworthy; & Honest
If you have between 3 – 37 hours per week available to support an elderly person in the community, and share aspects of each other’s lives, we would like to hear from you.
We will provide relevant training and peer support to all successful candidates; this will include sign-posting you to the relevant agency to help support you with your self-employment.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service background check, which will be checked against the Child and Adult Barred Lists as a home based worker.
