What is Advocacy?
Advocacy is about speaking up for children and young people. Advocacy is about empowering children and young people to make sure that their rights are respected and their views and wishes are heard at all times.
Advocacy can help young people to:
- get their voice heard
- know and understand their rights
- take part in meetings and reviews
- sort things out with their social worker or carer
- make a complaint
The North Wales advocacy service is independent – they are not part of Social Services.
