About Us

Day & Employment Opportunities is part of Wrexham County Borough Council Adult Social Care Services.

Offering a wide range of opportunities for adults over the age of 18+ with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Sensory Impairment and Mental Ill Health.

Some businesses are known as a Social Enterprises, meaning that we run our own group of high quality businesses around the Wrexham County area. The businesses have many functions and purposes, but paramount is providing the highest quality of service so that any money we make can be injected into the development of our services and used to support the individuals who use them.

The people we support play a huge part across all our services, we ensure they are gaining knowledge, experience and independence through working with us at our businesses. We pride ourselves on providing opportunities for people to enter the work place, learn new skills and become financially independent. We work hard to ensure they are supported the entire way.

We are a person centred service, listening to what the individual wants and needs, offering choices and opportunities both within our service and in the community.

We promote, encourage and support independence. Providing training towards open employment to strive for positive outcomes for people.

Customers

Understanding the needs of our customers, listening to their likes and dislikes, is how we aim to grow as a business. We hope that some of our customers may go on to become employers to some of our people we support.

We are committed to dealing honestly and fairly with all our customers, suppliers, contractors, business partners, staff and people we support. We want/aim for people to pass on a positive word and get some good feedback.

Community

Working in partnership with the local community and helping to support the needs of our local community.

We are not just about buying and selling local produce, we care what is going on in our town and local villages.

We aim to be more responsive to the needs of individuals and communities with a strong commitment on giving something back.

We believe that individuals should be integrated into the local community to tackle social exclusion and support personal development.

To receive our service individuals have to be referred via a care coordinator, which could be a social worker or nurse, who after a unified assessment passes on their referral to the Day & Employment Opportunities panel to provide professional advice on what service can best be provided.
