Deferred Payments Scheme

The Wrexham Adult Social Care Department provides services to adults, in other words, people aged 18+ years or over.

The kind of people we help are usually those who need support to deal with difficulties in their daily lives because of their physical or sensory impairments, learning disabilities or mental health needs. We also provide support to the carers of people with these difficulties.

 Deferred Payments Scheme

This leaflet is for people who are about to move into permanent residential accommodation as well as for their carers and family. It outlines the Deferred Payments Scheme through which you ‘defer’ or put off a part of your payment for permanent residential accommodation in exchange for granting the Council a legal charge on your main or only residence.
