Treasury Management Strategy Statement 2011-12

Treasury Management involves the management of the organisation’s cash flows, its banking, money market and capital market transactions; the effective control of the risks associated with those activities; and the pursuit of optimum performance consistent with those risks.

The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy’s Code of Practice for Treasury Management in Public Services requires local authorities to determine the Treasury Management Strategy Statement . This statement also incorporates the Investment Strategy. Together, these cover the financing and investment strategy for the forthcoming financial year.
