Are you an employer?
The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), drawing on The European Social Fund (ESF), provides Wrexham ITeC with funding to train employed people in a range of vocational areas, at no direct cost to you or your employee (subject to eligibility).
Employees, who are encouraged and supported to improve their qualifications by their employers, are more motivated and results show that higher outputs and better standards of work are achieved.
Wrexham ITeC can help your employees to gain (National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in levels 2&3 in the following areas - Business and Administration, Customer Service, Information Technology and Team Leading (Level 2 only), by enrolling them as Modern Apprentices – Foundation or Advanced.
NVQ Frameworks are gained by the employee gathering evidence of competence in the workplace against a set of nationally recognised standards, they have the assistance of one of Wrexham ITeC’s Trainer/Assessors who visits the workplace and works with the employee. The Frameworks are supplemented with Key Skills and either Workbooks or Technical Certificates. The employee would be expected to attend Wrexham ITeC on average 1 day per month. The acquisition of an NVQ takes between 12 and 36 months.
Wrexham ITeC is part of the Economic Development Department of Wrexham County Borough Council and, along with WAG, we are committed to the training of the local workforce.
