Are you employed?
Would you like to gain a qualification whilst you work?
The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), drawing on The European Social Fund provides (ESF), provides Wrexham ITeC with funding to train employed people in a range of vocational areas, at no direct cost to you or your employer (subject to eligibility).
Companies want, more and more, people who have been trained to nationally recognised standards, as well as to the required academic standard, in order to better serve the workplace.
Wrexham ITeC can help you to gain National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in levels 2&3 in the following areas - Business and Administration, Customer Service, Information Technology and Team Leading (level 2 only) by enrolling you as a Modern Apprentice. NVQs are gained by the gathering of evidence of competence in the workplace against a set of nationally recognised standards. They have the assistance of one of Wrexham ITeC’s Trainer/Assessors who visits the workplace and works with the employee. You would also be expected to attend Wrexham ITeC, on average 1 day per month, to gain underpinning knowledge, work towards Key Skills and the gaining of a Technical Certificate.
Wrexham ITeC is part of the Economic Development department of Wrexham County Borough Council and, along with WAG, we are committed to the training of the local workforce.
