Wrexham Cemeteries and Crematorium Service Standards and Performance

The Charter for the Bereaved

Wrexham Cemeteries and Crematorium Service has adopted and is a signatory member of the Charter for the Bereaved.

The Charter for the Bereaved, formulated by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM) sets out to define the minimum standards of burial and cremation services that can be expected from its member authorities.

As a Charter Member Wrexham County Borough Council will seek to provide and maintain a level of service which meets the 33 Charter ‘Rights’.

Each year member authorities are assessed against the Charter ‘Rights’ by the ICCM.

  • In the past three years, 2008, 2007 and 2006, Wrexham Cemeteries and Crematorium Service achieved performance nationally in the top quartile against these standards.

Customer Surveys

As part of providing continual improvement within our Cemeteries and Crematorium Service we carry out periodic customer surveys enabling service users to put forward their comments. We will then take these views into consideration when reviewing and setting our performance standards.
