Foxes

Foxes in an urban environment bring about a range of reactions from residents; some loathe them whilst others love to see them.

Foxes are not a public health pest but can cause a nuisance to residents as they dig up lawns and overturn bins in search of food.

Control of urban foxes is extremely difficult, expensive and usually unsuccessful. The Council does not treat for foxes as part of its Pest Control service but we are able to offer advice. Anyone with a problem should call 01978 292040.
