Important Information for users of Wrexham County Borough Council's Pest Control Services.

From 1st April 2011 the following revised charges apply. Contact the Housing and Public Protection Department on 01978 298989 for further details.


Rats

Bedbugs

Wrexham County Borough Council offers a free inspection and advice service for bedbugs. Call 01978 298989 to arrange for a pest control officer to visit.

Private tenants should report bedbug problems to their landlord. If the landlord is not prepared to carry out the treatment, then the tenant should contact us, providing us with all the landlords details, and we will contact them directly.

If a PCO visits and for any reason does not carry out treatment then a refund of £20 can be applied for. Extra nests - £16 (for each further nest within a 2 week period) 		£20.20

Treatment for the following pests is dependent upon the demands of the service and the circumstances of the infestation. At busy times priority will always be given to the pests named above:

Ants; Silverfish; Carpet beetle; Plaster beetle; Earwigs; Flies; Psocids and other stored food pests; Woodlouse

Standard Rate Contract Rate

£71.60 per hour, (minimum 1 hour).

Time over 1 hour charged £35.80 per half hour.

Plus cost of materials.

£52.30 per hour, (minimum 1 hour)

Time over 1 hour charged £26.15 per half hour
