Join in with a host of gardening and ‘green’ activities across the Wrexham County Borough this year.

Wrexham Fuchsia Society

Wrexham Fuchsia Society meets the first Wednesday in every month.  All welcome.  Meetings are held at Maesgwyn Community Centre in Wrexham.  Meetings begin at 7.30pm. Visitors may be asked to make a donation or buy a raffle ticket.

Public Rights of Way

Over 525 miles of public rights of way criss cross some of the finest landscape and heritage in the county borough. The right of access includes open country, common land and public forests, covering walking, running, bird-watching and picnicking but not cycling, horse riding, driving or camping.

• 1st March, Welsh food / craft/ arts event on Queens Square in celebration of St David’s Day.

• 14th April, 8.00pm (held at Kings Head Pub, Bwlchgwyn) Bwlchgwyn Gardening Society: Question & Answer Evening with Helen Yemm. Helen, the well-known gardener, garden designer and columnist from the Daily Telegraph, will be doing a question and answer evening entitled ‘Thorny Problems Live’.Tickets are £4. • 30th April, 7.30pm (Community Room at Darland Sports Centre) Burton & Rossett Horticultural Society: ‘Growing Vegetables in Containers & Raised Beds’ talk and demonstration. Admission free to members, £2.00 for non-members.
