Wrexham Council would like to THANK residents for their continued support in the Recycle with Michael kerbside collection scheme.
In 2010/11 you helped us recycle 47% of waste produced in Wrexham that's an increase of 5% from the previous year.
47% is a good recycling rate for Wrexham to have achieved but we want you to help us make it even higher!
By 2012/13 the Welsh Government has set all Welsh Local Authorities a statutory recycling target of 52% almost another 5%.
A waste survey carried out in Wrexham revealed that there is a staggering 10,000 tonnes of food waste and a shocking 7,500 tonnes of paper and cardboard still being place in Wrexham's household waste bins...which all ends up in landfill.
So how can you help Wrexham achieve 52%?
