Trading Standards Matters
Wrexham Trading Standards Service has launched a newsletter aimed at all businesses in Wrexham County Borough Council area. This newsletter called Trading Standards Matters aims to keep all businesses in the area, informed and up to date, on current and developing trading standards legislation and issues, which may affect the products they produce and services they provide.
Mr Andy Lewis, Chief Housing and Public Protection Officer comments "In today’s complex trading environment, as a regulatory service the Public Protection Department appreciates the difficulties some businesses - particularly those small and medium sized enterprises may encounter in keeping up with legislative changes".
"The Government is keen to reduce red tape and the legislative burden upon all business sectors. In launching this newsletter the Trading Standards Service recognises the continuing need to engage with the business sector in the Wrexham County Borough area and support and advise them on legal compliance issues.
This newsletter is available on the Wrexham County Borough Council web-site. It is also available from the Trading Standards office on Ruthin Road. Anybody wanting a copy should contact the office on 01978 296060 or e-mail the Trading Standards Service on trading.standards@wrexham.gov.uk requesting a copy of the newsletter.
Mr Lewis concludes "The launch of this newsletter is an important step in working in partnership with business communities in Wrexham and can contribute to the economic prosperity of the area".
