Bank Holiday Bin Collection Arrangements

Welcome to Bank Holiday Bin Collection Arrangements information. This page provides information about the changes to refuse/bin collection arrangements in the Wrexham County Borough during public holidays, such as bank holidays.

No waste collections are made on Bank Holidays in the Wrexham area and collections for the rest of the week are generally one day later than normal.  Exceptions occur during the week leading up to May Bank Holiday when collections are made one day EARLIER than normal and whenever there are two Bank Holidays in the same week e.g. at Christmas. 

Please remember to check your bin sticker, your Recycle with Michael calendar or see the information listed below.

Following Bank Holidays we may need to change both the DAY your bin is collected and the TYPE of bin collected.

To check:

  • Step 1 - Look at your bin sticker to see which DAY your bins will be collected
  • Step 2 - Look at your calendar for your NEW collection day. Use the colour of the day to see which bin is being collected.
