How do I make a complaint?

Wrexham County Borough Council is committed to Customer Care. As part of our effort to provide efficient and effective services we need to know when you have a complaint.

We would also like to hear from you if you have any suggestions on how we can improve our services, if you have any difficulty using any services or if you require any more information on how we can help you.

How do I contact the Council?

First Stage

Contact the staff directly involved. This could be the person responsible for the service locally. In many cases they will be able to respond quickly and to your satisfaction.

Second Stage
If you are unhappy with how the complaint was handled or the outcome please contact the relevant contact officer as detailed in this leaflet.

If you are still unsure of who the relevant contact officer is please contact the Scrutiny Support Manager on 01978 292257 who will be pleased to assist you.

Third Stage
If the matter has still not been resolved to your satisfaction, you should contact the Corporate Complaints Officer who will investigate the complaint further.

We will acknowledge your communication within 5 working days. Usually, a full response will be made in 20 working days. If the matter is complicated and will take longer than 20 days to resolve you should receive an interim reply within that period.

We will do our best to give a satisfactory outcome to your comments or complaints but if you remain unsatisfied it is open to you to complain to the:
