Frequently Asked Questions - Libraries
Membership of the library is free to everyone. You will need one proof of identity which must have your name and current address.
If you are under 16 years old you either need to provide proof of your own ID or you can bring a parent or guardian with you and they will need to show their ID on your behalf.
If you are a student we can accept your student ID card which will give you a temporary membership until you can provide proof of your name and address.
Adults may borrow up to 15 items at a time children may borrow up to 10 items. The loan period for most items is three weeks. You can however renew items by phone, email or online.
Please note: if your item is reserved by another borrower it will only be renewed for three days from the date you renew it.
Public Internet access is available at all Libraries free of charge. It is advisable to book in advance in order to ensure that a PC is available at the time you wish to visit. Please bring your library membership card or proof of name and address.
